Abstract

ABSTRACT White collar crime as different from other violent crimes was difficult to recognize and stop. There were many theories which helped to study the reasons behind the white collar crimes . Anomie theory, Sub-cultural theory, Structured Action Theory were some among these. In this article, efforts have been made to study the concept of Anomie with White collar crimes. Sutherland defined, “White collar crimes are done by people of high respectability and social status in the course of his occupation.” Anomie theory described a society where there is no social and moral values in the society. This lack of order in the society increased all types of crimes including white collar crimes
