Abstract
Disney animated movies have been a huge part of entertainment culture and undoubtedly an integral part of childhood of children all over the globe. It is a franchise influencing people through many avenues.As a part of popular culture it is marketed through toys,games,clothes etc. Disney has been around for over 80 years, and during that time, they have played a role in how contemporary society displays gender roles,especially women. As modern culture goes through changes, Disney has also made changes in the way they represent their characters, both male and females.Children all around the world consume media products on a daily basis and thus these movies have a profound effect on the minds of children and young adults.
