Abstract: The article basically defines the Health Insurance and Health Insurance Sector and shows its growth in the past several years. The secondary data used in the article shows the growth in private as well as public sector health schemes. The benefits and frauds associated with health insurances sector have also been discussed. Despite witnessing frauds, the Sector has grown year by year. From the data it is ostensible that after arrival of new private companies in the fray the competition has increased and the public sector has grown slowly in comparison to the private sector.
