Abstract

Abstract: Social and environmental change have increased focus on conservation of natural resources and sustainable living. Recent economic changes have also caused consumers to re-evaluate, how they save energy, now more attention being given to maximizing energy efficiency in construction. As a result, more builders and consumers are turning to energy efficient green building design and construction. This paper is leading to highlight energy efficient building construction techniques used to conserve energy. Developing and adopting energy efficient techniques in new construction and in renovation could reduce the amount of energy consumed, save money, and reduce air emissions resulting from generating electricity. There have been many developments in the promotion of energy efficiency in the construction sector; much of which is organized around the guidelines of the leadership in energy and environmental design of green building rating system.
