Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) and Non-Governmental Organizations (NGO) are becoming an integral part in local level development initiatives. Talikulam Vikas Trust is a Public Charitable Trust Registered under Indian Trust Act. It was formed in the year 2004 with the goal of overall transformation of Talikulam Grama Panchayath in Thrissur district. The trust’s strategy is Public- Panchayat- Private Peoples Participation (PPPPP). Hence the trust aims to turn Talikulam village into a model village in Kerala, the villagers, local governing bodies as well as political leaders wholeheartedly support the organization and gets involved in its activities. The main objectives of this study are (1) to identify the major activities of Talikulam Vikas Trust and (2) to analyse the role of Talikulam Vikas Trust in local level development initiatives. The study depends on secondary data.
