STUDY OF SOME IMPORTMENT MEDICINAL PLANTS IN RURAL AREA OF DISTRICT JHUNJHUNU, RAJASTHAN

Abstract

Floristic survey of rural area of district Jhunjhunu , Rajasthan was conducted from August, 2015 to January, 2016 for enumeration of medicinal plants . Overall 25 medicinal plants species belonging to 25 genera and 21 families are documented. Among the families Fabaceae with 3 species is the dominant family followed by Liliaceae and Amaranthaceae with 2 species each. Major plant parts which are used for preparation of medicines are leaves, roots, whole plant, flower, fruits and stem. This paper revealed the use of 25 medicinal plants for the treatment of various ailments.
