MENTAL STATUS OF FARMERS VIS-À-VIS THE IMPLEMENTATION STAGE OF THE INNOVATION-DECISION PROCESS IN COMMERCIAL CULTIVATION OF MEDICINAL PLANTS

Abstract

A research study was undertaken in three districts of Tamil Nadu in India, namely Thoothukudi, Virudhunagar and Salem districts to explore the trend potential of commercial cultivation of medicinal plants like senna, periwinkle and coleus, respectively and their prospects for the growers, prospective growers (non-growers) and the traders. This research paper was aimed at to reveal the status of medicinal plant growers vis-à-vis the implementation stage of the innovation-decision process in respect of commercial cultivation of senna, periwinkle and coleus.
