Abstract

Organisation should aim to maintain the commitment level of its employees as it is directly coupled with engagement. It could be achieved only if there is a bond created between the organisation and its employees. Employee turnover is inevitable in any organisation, yet it is the prime chore to retain the competitive work force. This research was conducted to examine the theories, the models and the key drivers of employee engagement like satisfaction, motivation, rewards and recognition, communication and most of all work like balance. The word “Engagement” recounts the attitude of the employee towards the organisation. The researcher has collected the structured questionnaire from hospitals in private sector under pilot study adopting convenient sampling method to ascertain if the key drivers of employee engagement figured out actually help the organisation to grow. Employees from different departments human resources, accounts, billing, house-keeping, stores, nursing unit and like within the organisation were interviewed. The researcher used a small sample size and has come out with findings and suggestions towards the end of the research. The limitation of the study is also dealt with at the latter part.
