Abstract
In today’s era knowledge management has become an important tool of competitive advantage. Value creation depends on the utility of the intangible assets of the firms. Knowledge is the buzzword in modern economy. Conversion of ideas, skills, fact and information into knowledge and utilizing that knowledge is very important for value additions. Knowledge Management is emerging as a powerful source of competitive advantage. Use of Knowledge management systems along with information technology can prove very fruitful for organizations. This paper is an effort to study the concept, types, uses and challenges of KMS and its implementation and various dimensions.
