Abstract
This study evaluated the effect of hypnotherapy on spiritual well-being of pregnant women, in comparison with control group. The subjects of this study were 60 pregnant women in their second and third month of gestation. They were residents of Vadodara city and were selected in an obstetric and gynaecologist clinic. Spiritual well-being was measured with the help of Spiritual Well-being Questionnaire by Gomez and Fisher (2003). The hypnotherapy sessions were conducted by a professional therapist with a pre-written script. The difference in the mean scores on components of spiritual well-being of the post-tests for the experimental group was found significantly higher than their pre-tests whereas in the control group no changes were observed.
