Abstract

Agriculture is the basic primary activity in which major population of India is indulged. The only difference is how, why, where and which crop is grown in a region as per its physiographic, climatic and economic development. Punjab has been always known that it is flourished in agricultural sector as it is situated in the alluvial plains and its physical factors are majorly suitable for agriculture, but this state of India also has a semi arid region where lies the study region of this research paper which is Bathinda district in south west part of Punjab.
