Abstract

Rabindranath Tagore is among those literature creators who cannot be tied in the periphery of time. In terms of the magnitude of the compositions, only a few writers can match them. He wrote more than a thousand poems and composed more than two thousand songs. Apart from these, he wrote many stories, novels, dramas and essays related to diverse subjects like religion, education, philosophy, politics and literature. His vision went to all the subjects in which human interest can be. From the point of view of quality evaluation of the works, they had reached the height where only some great creators reach. When we remember the vast area and importance of his works, it is no surprise that his admirers consider him the greatest literature-writer in history.
