Abstract

G-20 has resolved for implementation of standardized OTC derivative contracts traded on exchanges or electronic trading platforms, clearing of OTC derivatives through central counterparties, reporting of OTC derivative contracts to trade repositories and higher capital requirements for Non-centrally cleared contracts. The stages of implementation of the policy of G-20 are quite uneven in the member countries. Yet there are issues in regulation of derivatives which need greater attention. The solutions of further issues in regulations are within the life cycle of derivatives trade.
