Abstract

Water quality deterioration has serious implications for the supply of water for drinking, irrigation, industrial use, and is important determinant of public health. The level of natural contaminants such as fluoride and arsenic, and chemical pollutants such as pesticides and insecticides and industrial pollutants is high and rising at several places in the Nile River. Although several studies and water pollution mitigation programs have been sponsored by the Government of Egypt and external funding agencies, however, success in reducing pollution from the Nile River has not been received as expected. This Research article assesses different kind of approaches made for cleaning the Nile River and to protect its Aquatic ecosystem.
