Abstract

The assumed question that is latent in the motivation of our concerns is whether embedded notions of community and their politicised character are impediments to ‘governance’; and whether engendering an individual political subjectivity would aid the process of unhindered governance in states of the north-eastern region, or in this case the state of Meghalaya, which is the subject matter of this brief exploration.
