Abstract

Tourism has become a large industry in the present times and is growing at a fast rate in the recent years with the increase in the per capita incomes of people around the world and ever increasing human desire to travel and explore new destinations with the perspective of tourism. In the contemporary world urban life is very fast and stressful. Urban people, whenever they get a break from their hectic schedules, head towards peaceful rural places to seek solace in the pure environment of such places. Rural tourist destinations near to cities are flooded by such people on the weekends and holidays which lead to traffic management challenges and pressure on rural road infrastructure.
