Abstract

Open broadcaster software started as a small project created by Hugh Jim Bailey, quickly grew with the help of many online collaborators working to improve the OBS and spread the knowledge about the program. (LION KING, 2021) In 2014, the development started on a rewritten version known as OBS Multi-platform (later renamed OBS Studio) for multi-platform support, a more comprehensive feature set, and a more powerful Application Programming Interface. In 2016, OBS Classic became inactive OBS Studio became the primary version. (en.wikipiedia.org, 2021) API is an intermediary software that allows two applications to talk to each other. This paper explains how to use software commonly used for streaming video games to make the online class more vibrant and extend additional learning opportunities to students in active participation through learning the basics about OBS studio to design in practice by teaching with it throughout the curriculum in real-time classroom experience in a virtual mode.
