Abstract

This paper is the partial outcome of my Ph D research work in the area of role of Voluntary organizations in creating provision of microcredit among rural people. The study is cramped to Rayagada district of Orissa. The provision of credit has been a longstanding strategy, particularly credit targeted at rural population in national development. NGOs became a supplementary organisation for the developmental activities of the government and in some cases they become alternative to the government.
