The Banking sector is the back-bone of the Indian economy; therefore it is necessary to know the financial position of the Banks in India. For that purpose the “CAMEL RATING” System was used by Banks in India. The “CAMEL RATING” system adopted by RBI for knowing the financial position of banks. In this research paper it is clearly mentioned that the what is “CAMEL RATING” system, its all indicators (Capital Adequacy, Asset Quality, Management, Earnings, Liquidity, Sensitivity), The Rating Factors of CAMELS Rating System, Numerical Ratings of “CAMELS Rating System, and how it works, for study the “CAMEL RATING” data of 21 public sector banks was taken. This study is depends on secondary data which collects for various sources. This detail study was done during the period of 2021 to 2022.
