Despite our sincere commitments to the developments goals, a large section of our population lives under the buffets of poverty, unemployment, malnutrition and massive illiteracy. From time to time governmental policies have tried to bridge the gap between the poor and the rich, developed and underdeveloped, modern and backward. But results often have not been satisfactory. This is also true of the Muslim communities, who constitute a significant portion of Indian population.
