Abstract

: The objective of this research paper was to make a comparative study of the mental health of girls of different disciplines. Total 180 girls studying in a college affiliated to Veer Narmad South Gujarat University, Surat were selected as subjects in the study, in which 60 girls were selected from of Arts, Commerce and Science faculty. Respectively Girls of 17 to 21 age groups studying at graduate level were selected for the present study. A questionnaire constructed by Dr. D. J. Bhatt and G. R. Gida was used for measurement of mental health in the present study. Statistical analysis was made by applying analysis of variance to compare mental health between three groups and LSD Test was applied to know the difference between means. The finding indicates that significant difference in mental health was found in girls of different disciplines, in which girls of Science faculty were found superior in mental health.
