Abstract

Birinchi Kumar Barua, the veteran Assamese novelist asserted his name in Assamese literature as a leader of new trends in Assamese literature. He created a new form in Assamese novel revealing various common problems and traditions of Assamese society. His first novel Jiwanar Batat was published under the pseudonym, Bina Barua.
