Abstract

In the era of modernization and technology boom, we have given up our traditional values and morals of the past. Today in the modern society, economic yardstick has become the measurement of usefulness of a person. In this way, elderly people have lost their usefullness and moreover the position of elderly widows have become more vulnerable. After the death of her husband, the elderly widow is treated as a burden.
