Abstract

The epic narratives of Mahabharatha has been discussed in Kannada literary tradition. Within the Kannada literary scene the varities of Mahabharatha from the perspective of Jainism are called Jina Bharatha. Though Vyasas Mahabharatha is indisputably recognized as the root of both vedic and Jain literary works,in the Jina bharathas the puranic talesget inspired withn the life history of Thirthankaras.the Present work looks analytically at how Duryadhana is treated in the Jina Bharatha
