Abstract

Irrespective of time, place and action, the seasons have always been one of the earliest and easiest choices of the poets when they intend to depict the various physiological conditions and psychological emotions of mankind through nature. Seasons have always fascinated the writers, especially poets, as subjects of their creative creations.

Chandra Rajan’s translation (in Sahitya Akademy’s  The Complete Works of Kalidasa vol.1) of Nirnay Sagar Press edition of Ritusamharam with Maniram’s Commentary.
