Abstract

Chitra Banerjee Divakaruni is an American Book Award winner, paints a rich tapestry of the Indian way of living in her novel Oleander Girl. She is a diasporic writer and her works reflect a deep connection with her roots. Indian culture, tradition and Customs have been highlighted by Chitra through her characters.
