Everyone, no of their circumstances, is entitled to a certain set of basic rights. Right to life and physical security, along with other civil freedoms and political rights, is the most basic of them. It is imperative that we always make clear our commitment to these values—justice, tolerance, respect for others, and honouring the inherent worth and dignity of every person—in all we do. Human rights protection includes making sure everyone is treated with respect and kindness.
