Abstract

After Asoka we have very little knowledge of the history of Magadha down to the time of Huvishka, who is believed by the great Indologist General Cunningham to have furnished funds for the building of the great temple of Bodhgaya. A gold coin of this king was found among the relics deposited in front of the Diamond throne.
