Abstract

In India, the choice of occupation most particularly in the villages has remained conditioned to the caste group of persons. In the inscriptive caste system, the occupation adopted by the son is mostly inherited from the fathers. But in modern India the traditional taboo of adopting only caste based occupation is gradually declining and getting weakened (Kumar and Baseria, 2012).
