Abstract

Over the past 75 years, the cropping pattern in India has undergone significant changes. Initially, farmers predominantly cultivated crops that required less water, relying heavily on the monsoon for their production and productivity. However, with the advancement of irrigation systems, there has been a notable shift in the cropping pattern.
