Abstract

The paper is divided into two main sections: a narrative review and a bibliometric analysis. In the narrative review section, the paper discusses the emergence and importance of GIS in health policy and research. GIS enables the integration and analysis of various data types, such as health facility locations, population demographics, transportation networks, and geography, to assess the distribution and accessibility of health services.
