Abstract

In English literature, the narrative device known as "stream of consciousness" aims to depict the unbroken flow of a character's feelings, ideas, and sensations. It exposes the character's inner thoughts, frequently without following a set pattern or logical progression. By revealing the character's innermost thoughts, this method gives the reader a sense of closeness and intimacy.
