Abstract

The paper traces the current status of women's rights up to the Epics. History has indicated that neither then nor now has the treatment of women changed to a very large extent. The solution lies when all stakeholders work together to uplift women in society. Emphasis on education and health would empower Indian women to stand for their rights.
