Abstract

In India, it has been of generally accepted that joint families existed earlier, and later on, nuclear families dominated. Single parenting earlier used to be a type of exception earlier, but not now single parenting cases are found and is often judged as problematic which creates sets of concerns regarding many issues including issues of their children.
