Abstract

21st Century is the century of technology .Technology which is used in all aspects of life. Information and communication Technologies are potentially powerful tool for extending educational opportunities.ICT plays very important role in the development of knowledge. ICT has changed the teaching and learning process. Today Education has become student centered due to ICT. The present article is an attempt to study the significance of ICT in teaching and learning process and its applicability and acceptance in teaching and learning process.ICT has changed the traditional methods in teaching and learning process and introduced new methods which are effective and useful for students. In coming days the collaboration of ICT with teaching and learning process will be stronger. In the field of education and research, ICT will be adopted easily by the educational practitioners.
