Abstract

Social work education is a blend of Theories and practices. It goes beyond the classroom. Through the field experience, students are expected, that they will demonstrate skills to bridge theory and practice. Collaborative efforts between the student, the field agency, and the MSW program are essential to successful learning. Social work students in field placements need specific training if they are to apply their knowledge of cross-cultural work effectively. Continuous Field Work Practice- enables the students to work two days a week in the field followed by one day supervision in college. Four dimensions of Social work such as activities conducted, process, application of theories and evaluation is important at field work.
