Abstract

INTRODUCTION The 5M’s in Production are Men, Material,Machine,Mission and Money.Of all these factors people or Human resource is the vital and the most essential factor in the organization and all other factors of production revolve around the same. People are the real assests of an organization. If treated well, they can take organization to commanding heights. Two plus two could be four or even ten. Organisation are, generally, driven by a set of predetermined goals. They employ physical, financial and human resource in order to achieve the goals. These goals have no meaning unless people understand the underlying philosophy , translate them into concrete actions plans and put their heart while realizing the targets. Management of ‘ human factor ‘ for an organization is the key issue. In 1969 Len Nadler firstly introduced the concept of Human Resource Development at American Society for Training and Development In United States Of America. The concept was popularized in India in late 70’s. In 1975 Larsen and Turbo introduced the concept of Human Resource Development. Good HRD requires well –structured function, appropriately indentified HRD systems, and competent staff to implement and Facilitate the change process.
