Abstract

International migration and transnational movements have opened new vistas of development for emerging countries.Being marked by massive unemployment and lack of basic infrastructure for a developmental take-off, both the skilled and the semi-skilled workforce in the Third World economy find the trajectory of international migration as a possible passport to economic prosperity and social mobility.
