Abstract

Forensic psychiatry plays a pivotal role in criminal justice systems worldwide, particularly in determining the mental state of accused individuals during the commission of a crime. In India, the application and legal recognition of forensic psychiatry differ across states, creating a diverse landscape of legal interpretations and implications.
