Abstract

The recent election results have seen an unprecedented victory for the Narendra Modi led Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) and its allies, collectively called the National Democratic Alliance. Now, with all the euphoria of victory celebrations going on, it is also now time to ponder upon the priorities of new government. One of the main criticisms levied on the outgoing United Progressive Alliance (UPA) by Modi during his aggressive election campaign was the pursuance of a timid foreign policy , and the repeated acts of terror, infiltration, and land grab by neighbouring countries, namely Pakistan and China.
