SEX COMPOSITION OF BHIWANI DISTRICT IN HARYANA (A CASE STUDY)

Abstract

Sex composition is one of the most important aspects of study for the population geographers. The study of sex ratio is important for various type of planning and for the analysis of other demographic characteristics. Sex ratio is an important tool for regional analysis. The aim of this research paper is study of sex ratio of Bhiwani district in Haryana. The present paper is purely based on secondary data obtained from district statistical department of Bhiwani, socio- economic review of Bhiwani district and census of India 2011.the total population of the study area in 2011 was 1,634,445 having 866,672 males and 767,773 females. Thus the sex ratio of Bhiwani district was 886/1000 in 2011. The district sex ratio is as low ass the sex ratio of state Haryana (877/1000).
