Abstract

This paper elaborates on how CSR is raising several aspects for the worthwhile consideration from various organizations. It’s no longer limited to the maximization of shareholder wealth and is rapidly integrating with the mainstream business operations. The understanding of CSR is deep-rooted to Indian ethos with several theoretical frameworks encompassing moral and strategic objectives. Governmental impetus on mandatory spending with adequate governance norms for CSR activities is only increasing it’s importance. Hopefully the above changes shall help in meeting the socio-economic objectives for both nation and organizations.
