Abstract

Positive psychology is a scientific field that focuses on the positive aspects of people and their life. It includes well-being, happiness, engagement, meaning, positive relationships, optimism, and so on. The present study was entitled “Well-being and Depression among Youths”. The state or condition of well-being, welfare, happiness, prosperity, as virtue is essential to the well-being of men or of society. Well-being means different things to different people. Depression is a kind of mental health disorder in which an individual may suffer from it. In this disorder person usually experiences and displays feelings of unworthiness, despair and self hatred. This turn affect the character and behaviour of the person and his attitude toward life. Depression may develop as early as before their adolescence, some during their teens, while some after their adolescent years.
