Abstract

Over time, the commitment has been reformed into law such as in the forms of treaties, customary international law, general principles, regional agreements and domestic law, through which human rights are expressed and guaranteed. The core principles of human rights continues to grow, evolve, elaborate and further giving concrete expression to the universality, interdependence and indivisibility, equality and non-discrimination, and the rights of women, children, migrants, minorities, and indigenous peoples.[1]It continues to be an inspiration to us all whether in addressing injustices, in times of conflicts, in societies suffering repression, and in our efforts towards achieving universal enjoyment of human rights. The Universal Declaration of Human Rights is generally agreed to be the foundation of international human rights law. The international human rights standards assist as a guide for the measurement to confront the problem of climate change, underscoring the fundamental moral and legal obligations to protect and promote full enjoyment of the rights enshrined in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and in the core universal human rights treaties.
