WOMEN ENTREPRENEURSHIP

Abstract

Rapid growth of women’s self-employment and entrepreneurship corroborates that this is a significant avenue to improve women’s employability. This avenue is widely recognized at the global level. Self-employment and entrepreneurship are increasingly important for women as a way to ensure income from work in the context of declining job security and flexibilization of work contracts across India. This paper focuses on woman entrepreneur in India and also the paper talks about the status of woman entrepreneurs and the problems faced by them when they set up and managed their own businesses in the competitive world of business environment. At last, some general measures have been suggested to encourage women entrepreneurship in India.
