Abstract

The national parks of India are facing problems from destructive land uses, unregulated tourism, declining recreational carrying capacity and lack of active participation of stakeholders in ecodevelopment activities. Wildlife resource management strategies have been discussed in this paper which aims to provide solution to the problems facing the national parks. These strategies are flexible in nature considering the need and circumstances and aims to fulfill the present and future requirements of protection, conservation and management of biodiversity of the national parks.
