Abstract

Regional disparity has attained greater significance right from the process of development. It is actually the outcomes of various processes which simultaneously take place. These forces have combined impact on the level and pattern of growth of region. Presence or absence of different factors in more or less degree is related with level of disparity. Such inequalities not only bound in urban area but also in rural area. Lack of inclusiveness in rural development has increased the potential for socio-political instability and more negative consequences on overall economic growth and quality of life of rural population. Therefore, the present study is a modest attempt to examine and evaluate the magnitude and form of disparity that prevails in the neighboring villages of khatra block. There is a detailed exposition of selected variables. So, the nature of disparity at micro level is a major concern at present.
