Inclusive growth means growth across the country, equitable distribution of the fruits of the development among various sections of the society especially underprivileged group’s people. India has entered the Eleventh Plan with an impressive record of economic growth. After a lackluster performance in the Nineth Plan Period (1997-98 to 2001- 02) when gross domestic product (GDP) grew at only 5.5% per annum, the economy accelerated in the Tenth Plan Period (2002-03 to 2006-07) to record an average growth of 7.7% the highest in any plan period so far.The government implemented many development programmes and policies for the upliftment or inclusion of socially and economically backward or excluded people..
