A COMPARATIVE STUDY OF PERSONALITY CHARACTERSTICS OF STUDENTS BELONGING TO ICSE AND UTTARAKHAND BOARD

Abstract

Present study examine and compare the Personality Characteristics of the Adolescents belonging to ICSE Board and Uttarakhand Board. The study was conducted on 124 Adolescent students(62 from ICSE Board and 62 from Uttarakhand Board).Students were administered the 16 PF questionnaire by S.D.Kapoor to collect the data . Results show that there was a significant difference between Adolescent male belonging to ICSE Board and Uttarakhand Board on Factor B,F,I,Q1 and Q4 ,which shows that male adolescents belonging to ICSE Board are found to have been more intelligent ,sober, tough-minded ,self assured and relaxed whereas male adolescents belonging to Uttarakhand Board found to have been less intelligent, assertive, enthusiastic, tender-minded, apprehensive and more tense. Female adolescents of ICSE and Uttarakhand Board differ on factors C,D,E,O,Q3,Q4 , Which shows that Female adolescents belonging to ICSE Board have been found emotionally stable ,assertive, adventurous, self –assured, controlled and relaxed while female adolescents belonging to Uttarakhand Board found to be affected by feelings, undemonstrative, obedient, shy, apprehensive, controlled and tense.
