Abstract

Today, in Alappuzha, boat races contribute significantly to the cultural and economic development of the district. The aquatic festivals have a major impact on the development of cultural tourism in Alappuzha. The boat race organizers are now popularizing the historic song Vanjippattu to attract tourists and trying to create the cultural image of Kerala in the minds of the tourists.
